Outfit 30: Off-White Sweater and Amber Bracelet

I wore this outfit for our first day in Asheville, NC! Spending fall break in the mountains was heavenly. On Saturday, we went to downtown Asheville to walk around the city and enjoy the gorgeous fall weather. There was an art festival there, so we stayed there for a while before heading on to do other things!

Shirt: Forever 21 - Gift

My mom got me the shirt/sweater for Christmas about two years ago, and I have to say I wasn't sure about it at first. But once I put it on, I fell in love. It's so warm and cozy, and I love that it has a hood! The design is fun- it's not something I would have picked out for myself, but I really like it now that it's grown on me. This was a perfect top for a day in the mountains- light enough for the sun, but warm enough to keep the wind out!

Amber bracelet: Gift

My bracelet is the newest addition to my wardrobe. When we were out at the art festival, we stopped to look at the jewelry that one of the venders had. It was all handmade, for very reasonable prices, and was great quality. Since my aunt and sister make a lot of jewelry, I'm pretty familiar with the terms and some of the materials. Also, I LOVE geology (my dream job would be to be a geologist), I know a lot about minerals and rocks and such. This one bracelet my boyfriend's mom picked up and was talking about, since it had a piece of amber in it. She held it against my arm, and then said that she was going to get it for me! I was so flattered and surprised- it's a gorgeous piece of jewelry, and it was such a sweet gesture. I've been admiring it since!

My jeans ($40) were in Outfit 3, with my belt, and my tank top ($8) was in Outfit 18. My boots were in Outfit 19. The earrings I wore for this outfit were in Outfit 5! This outfit was great for a casual day in the mountains!

Outfit 29: Magenta Boyfriend Tee

I couldn't decide what to wear today, as the forecast was for rain, but I didn't want to just throw on a t-shirt and jeans. So my boyfriend suggested I wear one of my v-neck tee's (I have 4...) , since they're so comfy! So, that's what I went for this morning!

Shirt: Target - $4

 I got the v-neck on clearance from Target this winter. They still sell this style at regular price, but they change the colors every season, so this was way marked down! It was either $4 or $2, but I can't remember. I absolutely love this color- it's so vibrant and pretty! I like the little pocket on it- it's very cute.

Earrings: Claire's

My earrings are from Claires, and I can't remember how much they were or when I got them! I love the colors, and I almost wore the necklace I wore yesterday, but I figured I should try something new instead :)

Ring: Forever 21 - $5

My ring is of course from Forever 21! It was $5, and I really like that it has a stretchy elastic band- it's very comfortable. I obviously love that it's gold and sparkles! This was perfect for today- the darker gold is more subtle but it still makes a statement.

My jeans ($30) were in Outfit 5 and Outfit 20. My boots were in Outfit 18 and Outfit 21. My cardigan ($2.50) was in Outfit 1 and Outfit 24. I really liked this outfit for today, and was very comfy! And considering it rained it was good to have the boots to keep my feet dry and my jeans from getting frayed on the bottom!

Outfit 28: Green and Gold Vest and Brown Booties

I was just waiting for the weather to cool down a bit so I could wear my new shoes! And I wanted to see if I could get creative with some old things in my closet, so I grabbed the green vest and some of my favorite jewelry. This is what I got!

I honestly can't remember where or when I got the green vest, but I know I've had it for at least 3 years. I don't wear it much because it doesn't really work well with a lot of things that I have, and it's not as functional as it is fashionable. But I do love that it's green, gold and glittery! So pretty, and three of my favorite things! I especially love the neckline and the way it falls, because it's very flattering and feels pretty.

Shoes: Village Thrift - $6

My "booties" as I've learned they're called, were a recent buy from my favorite thrift store! I went thrifting on Friday evening with my sister, and fell in love with these shoes. My sister had to convince me to get them, because I wasn't really sure how I'd wear them. Nor did I have any idea what to call them, and am still questioning how functional they are... they aren't heels, and they aren't boots... so, it's a new thing for me. I did enjoy wearing them today, and I hope I can figure out another way to wear them, and then maybe I'll understand them better!

Earrings: Forever 21 - $4 in a set

My earrings were in another outfit, but I couldn't get a good picture of them. This time I was luckier! They came in a set with a few other pairs of earrings, and I got them all for $4 at Forever 21! I like these because they're a light shade of purple, and I can wear them with almost anything. The sparkle is a little bit more subdued than my crystal earrings, so I like that too. And they match my necklace beautifully!

My jeans ($12) were in Outfit 6, Outfit 11, Outfit 22, and Outfit 24. The white tank top isn't something that I'll talk about in my outfits, because it's so basic and plain, and isn't really a special part of it. The necklace ($5) was in Outfit 22, and the ring ($5) has been in Outfit 1! This was a great outfit for today, and I definitely enjoyed wearing my new booties!

Outfit 27: Black and Gold Strapless Sundress

 Today's outfit was pulled out of the closet specifically because it was so warm today! I really like the neutral colors, as I love to use gold accessories. I would love to put on a pair of gold heels to wear this outfit out, but that was not appropriate for classes and meetings today! So I settled for my trusty sandals.

Dress: H&M

I bought the dress years ago on sale at H&M. I have no idea how much I paid for it, though I can't imagine it was a lot. The fabric is heavier, so it worked really well for today's weather- cooler in the morning and warmer in the day. It has an interesting waist- which is why I added the belt! But I love how flowy the skirt is, and how comfortable the material is.

Necklace: Gift

My necklace was a gift from my beloved piano teacher. I took lessons for 11 years, and when I came to college I made it a point to keep in touch with my piano teacher and her husband. They are the set of grandparents that I never had (both my grandfathers passed before I was old enough to remember, so it's nice to have that family feeling), so I treasure them greatly. They are constantly showering me with love, and one of the gifts that they gave me was this necklace! It's so pretty, and I love that it's silver and gold, so I can easily where it with anything.

The shoes were in Outfit 1, Outfit 2, Outfit 4, Outfit 10, Outfit 11, Outfit 13, Outfit 14, Outfit 24, and Outfit 26. I totally thought I'd worn this belt before for an outfit! But I haven't. It came with a shirt from Forever 21 that I paid $7 for. I love it! The cardigan ($7) has been in Outfit 4, Outfit 10, and Outfit 26. And finally, my earrings ($15 in a set) were in Outfit 11 and Outfit 19. My ring ($5) was in Outfit 13. This outfit was great for today, but I'm looking forward to wearing jeans tomorrow! I've had enough dresses for a little while :)

Outfit 26: Blue Banana Republic Dress

Ready for the heat... again

So, we went from summer to winter to monsoon to summer again. Which means, summer dresses while I still can! I went for more casual and comfortable today, and this is what I felt fit today best :)

Dress: Banana Republic - $20

The dress if from Banana Republic, and I got it on sale for $20. When I went shopping at the outlets at the end of August, my sister and I tried on matching dresses! Hers is purple, and mine is this lovely blue. We thought it would be extra special for us to have matching dresses, as we both loved them so much. And for Banana, they are extremely well-priced. This blue is one of my favorite colors, and it's a classy and comfortable style that I can wear anywhere.

Ring: Forever 21 - $4

The ring is from Forever 21, and only cost $3.80. I bought it a few months ago when I was shopping with my friend, and she picked this one out! I love that it's not like any other butterfly ring I have, but it still has butterflies. I haven't seen anything else like it since I got it, and it's so pretty!

The shoes have been in Outfit 1, Outfit 2, Outfit 4, Outfit 10, Outfit 11, Outfit 13, Outfit 14 and Outfit 24. I wore the cardigan ($7) in Outfit 4 and Outfit 10. The earrings were in Outfit 3, and the necklace ($4) was in Outfit 10. Finally, the belt was in Outfit 6, and Outfit 13. This outfit has been really comfortable for a Monday, and it's definitely summery. I love the color and got lots of compliments today, so I enjoyed wearing it!

Outfit 25: Thrift Store Flower Dress

Not sure what's going on with my eye... but here's the outfit!

I finally made it back to church today! One of my good friends and I had discussed hanging out for a bit today, and since we've gone to the same church we decided it would be a good way to start the day. So my outfit is definitely dressier, but I actually have a lot more dressy clothes than I thought. For the surprisingly hot weather this outfit ended up being perfect! After church, my boyfriend took us out to lunch at a seafood restaurant, where we got to sit out over the water and watch the birds. It was absolutely beautiful.

Dress: Village Thrift - $3

I bought the dress the same day I got the orange one (that got wet in the rain). I tried it on, and it fit perfectly! For $6, I knew it was worth it. Even though I have a lot of dresses, I actually don't have anything like this one, so I had to have it. And, when I got to the counter, I found out that it was half off! So, I got the dress for $3! I absolutely love the pattern and the style, but my favorite part is probably the neckline. I like that it's a little off the shoulder- it adds a unique touch to it.

Cardigan: Forever 21

 I bought the cardigan at least 5 years ago from a clearance rack at Forever 21. It has more than paid for itself! It's surprisingly well made for being from Forever 21, and I wear it all the time. I actually wore it to a friend's birthday dinner at Salsa's a month and a half ago, and left it at the restaurant! I was so heartbroken, but I called them the next day and they still had it! I really lucked out.

Shoes: Ross - $12

I bought my shoes from Ross back in the spring. I am so hard on my heels that I've gone through numerous pairs of black pumps, and I was once again looking to replace a pair that weren't worth re-heeling. So when I was in Ross one day, I decided to take a look! And sure enough, I found a great pair! These have a little bit more style because they have a snake skin texture, but I've found that they're still just as classy and work with just the same things as a regular pair would. And, I love the cut of the shoe from the heel to the toe- it's a sweetheart shoe line? These were only $12!

I've worn all of my jewelry before in various outfits. The earrings I've worn in Outfit 5, the necklace in Outfit 14, and the bracelet in Outfit 10, and Outfit 15. I think this outfit turned out great for a Sunday morning!

Outfit 24: Light Blue Flower Print Shirt

Spring colors in the fall :)

I am so in love with this outfit. I love the colors, and the way everything fits and just goes together so nicely! My parents were here today for parent's weekend, and I didn't know what exactly we'd be doing, so I needed to find an outfit that worked for any occasion. As I went shopping yesterday and bought a few new things, I of course wanted to wear something new! So, I ended up with this!

Shirt: Target - $4

 I bought this shirt yesterday at Target, during my weekly shopping excursion! After combing through the clearance racks, I found quite a few things to try on, and this was the first thing I fell in love with. I love the baby blue color with the flower pattern. It has a little pocket on the left side of the shirt, which is a nice touch, and it zips in the back! It's very trendy but can also be a great classic piece. The best part? It was $4!

Earrings: Forever 21 - $3

I wore the earrings in yesterday's outfit too, but since I forgot to take a picture of them, I have them in this post! I believe that they're from Forever 21, and were only a few dollars- probably $3. They're definitely a classic pair of gold hoops, and add more style to my outfits- especially when I wear a lot of gold! It's almost time to replace them as they're cheap and actually don't stay in very well, but they have served me well so far!

Ring: Dillard's - $5

My boyfriend bought me this ring a couple weeks ago when we were out at the mall. We were walking through Dillard's looking at all of the fun stuff they have in there, and we stumbled across butterfly rings! We were both shocked, since the only butterfly rings I've seen for the past few months have been in Forever 21. And, since this one was on clearance for $5, it was obvious that I had to have it. So, my loving boyfriend bought me another butterfly ring to add to my growing collection!

The shoes I have worn a lot! They have been in Outfit 1, Outfit 2, Outfit 4, Outfit 10, Outfit 11, Outfit 13, and Outfit 14. I've worn the jeans ($12) in Outfit 6, Outfit 11, and Outfit 22. I've worn the belt ($3) in Outfit 1 Outfit 14and Outfit 23.  I wore the cardigan ($2.50) in Outfit 1.
