Outfit 25: Thrift Store Flower Dress

Not sure what's going on with my eye... but here's the outfit!
I finally made it back to church today! One of my good friends and I had discussed hanging out for a bit today, and since we've gone to the same church we decided it would be a good way to start the day. So my outfit is definitely dressier, but I actually have a lot more dressy clothes than I thought. For the surprisingly hot weather this outfit ended up being perfect! After church, my boyfriend took us out to lunch at a seafood restaurant, where we got to sit out over the water and watch the birds. It was absolutely beautiful.

Dress: Village Thrift - $3

I bought the dress the same day I got the orange one (that got wet in the rain). I tried it on, and it fit perfectly! For $6, I knew it was worth it. Even though I have a lot of dresses, I actually don't have anything like this one, so I had to have it. And, when I got to the counter, I found out that it was half off! So, I got the dress for $3! I absolutely love the pattern and the style, but my favorite part is probably the neckline. I like that it's a little off the shoulder- it adds a unique touch to it.
Cardigan: Forever 21

I bought the cardigan at least 5 years ago from a clearance rack at Forever 21. It has more than paid for itself! It's surprisingly well made for being from Forever 21, and I wear it all the time. I actually wore it to a friend's birthday dinner at Salsa's a month and a half ago, and left it at the restaurant! I was so heartbroken, but I called them the next day and they still had it! I really lucked out.

Shoes: Ross - $12
I bought my shoes from Ross back in the spring. I am so hard on my heels that I've gone through numerous pairs of black pumps, and I was once again looking to replace a pair that weren't worth re-heeling. So when I was in Ross one day, I decided to take a look! And sure enough, I found a great pair! These have a little bit more style because they have a snake skin texture, but I've found that they're still just as classy and work with just the same things as a regular pair would. And, I love the cut of the shoe from the heel to the toe- it's a sweetheart shoe line? These were only $12!

I've worn all of my jewelry before in various outfits. The earrings I've worn in Outfit 5, the necklace in Outfit 14, and the bracelet in Outfit 10, and Outfit 15. I think this outfit turned out great for a Sunday morning!

Outfit 24: Light Blue Flower Print Shirt

Spring colors in the fall :)

I am so in love with this outfit. I love the colors, and the way everything fits and just goes together so nicely! My parents were here today for parent's weekend, and I didn't know what exactly we'd be doing, so I needed to find an outfit that worked for any occasion. As I went shopping yesterday and bought a few new things, I of course wanted to wear something new! So, I ended up with this!
Shirt: Target - $4
I bought this shirt yesterday at Target, during my weekly shopping excursion! After combing through the clearance racks, I found quite a few things to try on, and this was the first thing I fell in love with. I love the baby blue color with the flower pattern. It has a little pocket on the left side of the shirt, which is a nice touch, and it zips in the back! It's very trendy but can also be a great classic piece. The best part? It was $4!
Earrings: Forever 21 - $3

I wore the earrings in yesterday's outfit too, but since I forgot to take a picture of them, I have them in this post! I believe that they're from Forever 21, and were only a few dollars- probably $3. They're definitely a classic pair of gold hoops, and add more style to my outfits- especially when I wear a lot of gold! It's almost time to replace them as they're cheap and actually don't stay in very well, but they have served me well so far!

Ring: Dillard's - $5
My boyfriend bought me this ring a couple weeks ago when we were out at the mall. We were walking through Dillard's looking at all of the fun stuff they have in there, and we stumbled across butterfly rings! We were both shocked, since the only butterfly rings I've seen for the past few months have been in Forever 21. And, since this one was on clearance for $5, it was obvious that I had to have it. So, my loving boyfriend bought me another butterfly ring to add to my growing collection!

The shoes I have worn a lot! They have been in Outfit 1, Outfit 2, Outfit 4, Outfit 10, Outfit 11, Outfit 13, and Outfit 14. I've worn the jeans ($12) in Outfit 6, Outfit 11, and Outfit 22. I've worn the belt ($3) in Outfit 1 Outfit 14and Outfit 23.  I wore the cardigan ($2.50) in Outfit 1.

Outfit 23: Flower Dress

This outfit was one that I'd been waiting for the perfect weather to wear- and the perfect occasion. Since it's a Friday, dresses are always a safe bet! I wanted to feel put together since I was taking a test this morning, so it was a nice start to the day! And the weather turned out to be absolutely perfect- starting off a little cooler in the morning but it warmed up to be gorgeous out!

Dress: Target - $4
I got the dress at Target last spring- on clearance for $4! It's very whimsical, and ties in the back. It's pretty see-through, so I added the black tights! Because it's so thin, it's definitely something that needs today's weather to work- so I really lucked out! I love the big flower patterns and the smaller flower patterns combined- it feels very Secret Garden. The dress by itself needs a little accessorizing, but it's beautiful by itself too.
Ring: Forever 21 - $5.80

The butterfly ring is a new one to my collection- I got it three weeks ago at Forever 21! The colors are nice and neutral, and it's super sparkly! I love it so much. It was more expensive for a butterfly ring- $5.80, but it was a must have.

The black tights are a necessity for any wardrobe- as is the black tank-top I'm also wearing underneath the dress. Even though the dress is pretty transparent, the black tank top and tights pull it together so it's appropriate and pretty! The tights are from American Eagle, and were a bit pricier, but are totally worth it- they were $20 for a 2-pack. The black tank top is from Kohl's, and it was only $5. The belt ($3) was in Outfit 1, and was also featured in Outfit 14. My shoes (gift) were in Outfit 15. And I totally thought I had already worn my earrings for an outfit! They're basic gold hoops, and were from Forever 21 I think. I'll definitely wear them again so I'll photograph them next time!

Outfit 22: Green and Brown Shirts

Perfect for fall weather!

Today's outfit is one that I like to go to when I don't know what to wear and I don't really have an occasion to wear anything special. I've worn this outfit a few times- but I've updated the jeans, boots, and necklace with new additions to my wardrobe. And, with the erratic weather, this was perfect for today!

Brown shirt: Target - $4
I'll start with the brown thing. I don't really know what to call it- it's not a sweater, it's not really a cardigan, it's not a jacket... so... I'm at a loss. I got it a few years ago at Target on clearance, and it was only $4. It's great in the summer to go over a nice sun dress, and great for the fall to add a touch to an already warm outfit! I like that it's the length of the shirt- they go together quite well.
Green shirt: ?

The green shirt I've had for even longer than the brown shirt. I don't have any idea where it's from, but it's super cute! The empire waist gives it a little more style, and I like that it's long-sleeved- I can wear it when it's cooler. And, green is my favorite color...
Necklace: Forever 21 - $5

I got my necklace at Forever 21 this summer because it was only $5. I don't really have a lot of long necklaces, so I wanted to get one when I had the chance- and it was definitely a great investment. It's not easy to wear, but I love the cluster of jewels and the colors. It just feels so medieval!

Boots: CHKD Thrift Store - $7
My boots were the most recent purchase! I got them at a CHKD thrift store about a month ago. I wasn't really looking to buy any more boots- especially dark brown suede ones. These are my third pair. But, when my best friend told me that they were me and that I had to get them (coming from someone who doesn't usually take much interest in my love of fashion) I didn't really have an option. So, for $7, I got a perfectly wonderful pair of brown suede boots! These are different though- because they are tighter to my leg than my other pair, and they don't have any embellishments.

My jeans ($12) were in Outfit 6, and were also in Outfit 11. I tried to take a picture of my earrings- but none of them turned out well at all, so I'll go without this time. They're simple studs anyway- I'm sure I'll wear them again!

Outfit 21: Teal Long-Sleeve Shirt

Cold weather... warm clothes!

Today was COLD!!!! I really didn't know what to wear- as I'm finding that I don't have a lot of cute winter clothes. But, I settled on jeans, boots, and a long-sleeve shirt that looks good with a hoodie over it! And... this is what I got :) Today was definitely an especially long day- so I was glad to have a pretty comfy outfit (except for the boots) to get me through the day.
Teal Shirt: Forever 21 - $10
I got the teal long-sleeve shirt 4 years ago from Forever 21. I don't remember how much it cost, but I'm pretty confident it was under $10. Plus, I was working there at the time, so it was 10% off. I think I've set foot in that store a total of 3 times since I worked there... not so great memories. But, I love the color and the ribbon on the button-line (if that makes sense). It's very pretty and girly, but also practical. I wore the lace cream tank-top underneath it mostly because it matched, but it added an extra feminine touch. It's more pretty than practical- but definitely pulled my outfit together!

Earrings: Gift

My earrings were a gift from my aunt. She's an amazing woman- and amongst many other gifts, she's extremely creative and loves to make jewelry! She made these earrings especially for me- they even have little butterfly crystals! I love the colors, and how they dangle! These are a favorite pair of mine- no one else has a pair like them, and they mean a lot to me. And, they are SO pretty!

My jeans ($40) were in Outfit 4. and my boots were in Outfit 18. This was a good outfit for today- more on the simple side for me, so I hope to get some new winter things to update my wardrobe soon!

Outfit 20: Comfy Gray Sweater

Oh cold weather...

So, after discovering how much I dislike the rain, I remembered just how much I dislike the cold. Today was the first day I wore a scarf, and I actually pulled out of a pair of mittens! To ring in the cold weather, which I will have to do more shopping for, I decided to wear a sweater!

Sweater: Village Thrift - $5

I got this gray sweater at the end of last week when I took my sister thrifting. It has two very small holes in it that I hope to patch up soon, but it's soooo warm and cozy I had to get it! It's Express too, so I know that it was probably worth it. I only paid $5! I need to figure out other ways to wear it, because I don't feel like this is the best, but it's a start!

Scarf: Gift

The scarf was something that my boyfriend had for a long time- and when he was cleaning things out last year he was looking to get rid of it. Since he knew that I loved to add to my wardrobe, he asked me if I wanted it! And... I said yes. I love that it's green, and it's also really soft so it's comfortable to wear. It looks awesome with solid colors too!
Shoes: Payless? Shoe Carnival?
My shoes are old- I've had them for a long time. Because it was threatening to rain and I didn't want to just put on my regular tennis shoes, I went for these instead. They're nice and comfy, and have a velcro strap! I feel like a little kid again when I wear them. I don't usually wear them, but since I was trying so many new things today, I figured it couldn't hurt! And, it worked, though I don't think they were the ideal match. Black ankle boots would have been better... but I don't have any... yet :)

My jeans ($30) were in Outfit 5, and my earrings were in Outfit 17. This outfit was cozy for today, but I probably won't wear it again because I wasn't that crazy about it. It just didn't seem to mesh together very well. The scarf brought it together, so overall I liked it but didn't love it.

Outfit 19: Detailed Jeans

First Fall Saturday
So, I've learned a little bit about myself this past week. First of all, I hate the rain. It's wonderful if you have no where to go and nothing to do and want to stay inside and watch movies all day. But the second you have to venture out in it- it's miserable. Especially when you're trying to pick out outfits to wear that are cute and fun! Secondly, I found out that I need to go shoe shopping. I'm in desperate need of black flats and black ankle boots or regular boots without heels. I have 4 pairs of boots with heels- but that's not always so practical. Third, I have to start time managing better! So, after those three revelations, I am back to blogging about my outfits. I didn't take pictures when I wore jeans, tennis shoes, and t-shirts because I didn't think there was anything special about it. But, I did have a great outfit for yesterday! My boyfriend and I went up to IKEA to do some shopping, so I wanted an outfit that was casual but still cute.
Jeans: Kohl's
My jeans I've had since sophomore year of high school. They are probably my favorite pair of jeans. I love the design on the leg, and the distressing as well! Unfortunately, because I've had them for so long, they are starting to develop holes in inappropriate places. I will be patching them up soon though, because I love them! I have no idea how much they cost, but I remember getting them from Kohl's.
Shirt: American Eagle
My shirt is from American Eagle, and I've had it for just as long as I've had the jeans! I can't remember the price, but I'm almost positive I got it on clearance. I love it- it's so cute, and the brown and gold are so pretty. You can see the delicate pattern on the bottom of the shirt and on the edge of the sleeves. The scoop neck top is also pretty. This outfit has been a favorite of mine- and it's great for a fall day of shopping!
Boots: Christmas present
My boots were a Christmas present from my grandma this past year! I love wearing them. The brown is a great color, and even better, they're not heels! So I can wear them anywhere. The tie in the back is trendy, though it comes undone very easily. I also like that they sound official- they click like they're heels but they're still flats!

My belt was in Outfit 3, my earrings ($15 in a set) in Outfit 11, and my ring ($5) was in Outfit 1! I loved wearing this outfit yesterday- it was super comfy and cheap!
